About this tool
Save the primary audio track from a WEBM file as OGG (Opus). The video stays on your device. WebM commonly carries Opus or Vorbis audio. Decoding support still depends on the browser and the file's tracks. OGG output contains Opus audio, not Vorbis. Some players that accept OGG Vorbis do not accept OGG Opus, so test the destination player.
Save a video's audio track as MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG or FLAC. Choose an MP3 bitrate for smaller files or higher quality. Files stay on your device.
Questions
What audio does WEBM to OGG extract?
Only the primary audio track is extracted; the video and other tracks are excluded. WebM commonly carries Opus or Vorbis audio. Decoding support still depends on the browser and the file's tracks. OGG output contains Opus audio, not Vorbis. Some players that accept OGG Vorbis do not accept OGG Opus, so test the destination player. The source audio codec must be decodable in your browser.
Which videos can I use?
MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, M4V and MPEG-TS containers are supported. The audio codec inside must be decodable in your browser. Unsupported or damaged files show an error.
What if the video has no sound?
If there is no audio track, the tool tells you. It cannot create sound from a silent video.
Which audio format should I choose?
MP3 is widely supported. M4A uses AAC, and OGG uses Opus. WAV stores uncompressed 16-bit audio; FLAC uses lossless compression. Neither WAV nor FLAC restores quality lost in the original.
What does the MP3 bitrate change?
Higher bitrates make larger files and retain more detail. Choose from 64, 128, 192, 256 or 320 kbps. The default is 192 kbps.
What happens if there are multiple audio tracks?
The primary audio track is extracted. Other audio tracks and the video are excluded.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Extraction runs in your browser. Large videos can take time and require available memory.
